You are viewing a wonderful and unique pair of German Dresden porcelain urns with a lovely gold enamel finish and fabulous hand painted classic Roman scenes on the main panel. I hope the photos go some way in conveying the beauty and quality of this pair, they are certainly better in the flesh.

They have a lovely classical shape and would look amazing in the right setting overflowing with foliage, or just on their own. The urns feature a wealth of hand painted and chased designs in white, including the angels, garlands, crowns, reefs, arabesques and other patterns. They are in white with a type of gold etched corner to simply stunning effect. I hope the photos illustrate this, the quality of the crafting is amazing, especially when you consider the amount of time to create.

You are viewing a gorgeous German Dresden style porcelain jewellery box or casket. The piece has intricate hand painted details to every surface of the box and the main theme is of course cherubs. The abundance of painted panels feature various chubby pink cherubs in various stages of Romantic interplay. It really is delightful and breathtaking when you consider the amount of work that would have gone into the crafting of these fine pieces. Hopefully the photos go some way in conveying the detail and intricacy to the brushwork.

The main colour theme for the background is that sky blue hue synonomous with the Sevres factory. When the piece is opened out to reveal the abundance of storage space you can also see the floral spray painted on inside to the piece.
